Boogalu - Cuba Arts Donations

Boogalu Productions is commited to supporting musicians, dancers, and artists in Cuba, as well as Cuban artists living abroad.

One way we do this is through donations of Boogalu DVDs to USA non-profit organizations that help Cuban cultural institutions and artists with much needed materials and supplies.

These USA non-profit organizations generate funding for their programs by selling the donated Boogalu DVDs.

Boogalu Donations 2004
DVDs valued at $896 to The Center for Cuban Studies, New York City, Lifeline Fund

"In response to the severe shortages in Cuba, the Center set up the Lifeline Fund, which enables contributors to donate much-needed materials to Cuban institutions. These materials include medicines and medical supplies, religious artifacts, artists' supplies, educational materials, etc." The Center for Cuban Studies opened in New York City in 1972, organized by a group of scholars, writers, artists and other professionals. The Center has served as a vital communication link between the U.S. and Cuba through its publications, organized tours, library services, exchange programs and art projects.
